was established.
Four actors wearing especially large masks
appear on stage. They represent the gods of the four seasons. They are brothers
and have another brother, the youngest, who aims for becoming one of them.
There was a fight between the four gods and their youngest brother, but in the
end, the youngest brother gained special days in each season, a total of
eighteen days around the equinoxes and solstices.
The period relating the youngest brother is very important time for rice
farming. This story is very much related to the farming.
