Ooeyama

More than 1,000 years ago, a bandit of brutal ogres lived in the deep mountain of Ooe-yama in Kyoto. The head of the group was an infamous Shuten-doji, who stopped at nothing of villainy.
Eventually, the Ichijo-tenno (Emperor Ichijo)  decided to exclude the bandit, and summoned his warriors. They disguised themselves as Buddhist monks, because they had heard that bandits never harm Buddhist monks.

On the way to Mt. Ooe, they encountered a woman who had been kidnapped by the bandit. She guided them to sneak into the feast that was full of ogres.....

This story features the folktale, Shuten-doji. One of the four warriors is Sakata-no-Kintoki, who is the grown-up figure of Kintaro, a popular folktale hero.
