Nanao Mountain Castle was a fortress of the Masuda clan and placed atop
of Mt.Nanao. It was 118m high and 600m wide. Now, as the mountain is blanketed
with trees, it is difficult to imagine the form it used to have. But you
can find the steep man-made precipices which protected the fortress against
enemy countries, and a square where horses were tied.
